A recent survey from Exact Target found that Canadian consumers are most likely to make a purchase from a company through their e-mail subscriptions than other networks like Facebook or Twitter. The survey showed that in over 1300 Canadian consumers, 93% of online consumers subscribe to at least one mail marketing program. From that, 44% have made a purchase after receiving an email marketing message.

Dazeinfo.com reported that more than 75% of marketers considered email and social media as the most effective tool for customer engagement. Consumers who receive brand updates/offers by email (42%) were reported to be more probable to purchase than those who receive in SMS (33%).
